We love apple season and all the delicious possibilities it brings!! Whether it is biting into a fresh, crisp apple right from the tree or creating cozy baked goods, apples are a true autumn delight. We especially love finding apple recipes that are both healthy and simple enough for kids to join in the kitchen. Enter this stunning Apple and Pomegranate Galette—a delightful blend of golden apples and vibrant red pomegranate seeds that create a beautiful fall mosaic. Not only is it quick and easy to make, but it’s also packed with antioxidants and vitamins, making it as nutritious as it is delicious!

Making your Apple and Pomegranate Galette

*This recipe contains nuts but they can easily be omitted if there is a nut allergy in your family. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pie Crust (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sliced Almonds
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 oz. Brie Cheese
  • 2 Apples, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • Pomegranate Seeds

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Flatten your pie crust into a circle on your baking sheet. Mix your cinnamon, brown sugar and sliced almonds and set aside. Leaving about 2” border along the edge of the crust, place your thinly sliced brie in a spiral around the crust. Top the brie with your cinnamon, brown sugar, and almond mixture.

Step 2:

Then, going in a spiral again, place your sliced apples on top. Drizzle honey over your apples. Add your butter in small cubes around the apples (about 1 tbsp. total).

Step 3:

Fold over your edges to form the crust. Brush with egg wash and a sprinkle of sugar. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Allow to cool and garnish with your pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!
