Where are HABA toys made?

HABA is a family-owned and company based in Germany with an 80-year history of strong commitments to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality design. However, not all of our products are made in Germany.

All of our wooden baby toys and most of our games and blocks are made in Germany. Our plush toys and dolls, plastic toys, and some of our wooden products are made with strict care in China. This has been the case for over 15 years. All HABA toys and games are rigorously tested to the same US and European Federal safety standards for toys. Transparency is important to us and you will find the country of origin listed on every product on our site.

How can I safely clean my wooden toys?

As a general rule of thumb for your child’s safety, disinfectants (alcohol or bleach-based) should not be applied directly to any wooden early childhood toys or game pieces. Why? Wood is a natural material and disinfectants may damage the water-based protective coatings applied to protect the stains and/or colors beneath.

To clean wooden toys, we recommend using a cloth dampened with warm water. If you wish to infuse any cleaning agent, we recommend a small amount of water and mild dish soap or a water and vinegar essence mix. Both options work well to destroy bacteria and clean our wooden toys. After cleaning your toys, we strongly encourage you to wipe the toy dry with a clean cloth.

REMEMBER: Wood soaks in moisture. Do not ever submerge wooden toys in water or place them in a dishwasher.

What is the ideal surface for your bathtub ball track toys?

HABA’s bathtub ball tracks typically work well on flat, smooth, clean surfaces like bathtub walls and fiberglass or acrylic shower walls. They also work well on smooth, flat tiles, though we recommend against using these toys on textured tiles.

Having trouble getting suction cups to stick? Try soaking them in water first or applying a little petroleum jelly to the edges.

If suction cups are sticking too well, try adding a bit of dish soap to the edges with a thick cotton swab. Slide a butter knife between the wall and the suction cup to release the pressure.

What type of guarantee do you offer?

HABA USA offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of our products. If you find a product unsatisfactory for any reason, we’ll be happy to return or exchange it for you. We appreciate the opportunity to make you a supremely satisfied HABA consumer!

Do you accept game or product ideas?

Yes! If you are a game inventor or have a game idea click here (PDF) for our game submission guide. Please note that all games/toy ideas are submitted to the HABA parent company in Germany. The HABA USA division does not make these decisions.

How do I place an order?

Placing an order is easy! You may either create a new account, log in to an existing account, or check out as a guest member.

Once logged in, you may begin shopping. Identify the item you’re interested in and simply click the “Add to Cart” button. You can add other items to your cart using the same process.

When you are ready to check out, click on the shopping cart in the right-hand corner of our website for instructions that will walk you through the ordering process. Once finished, you will receive an order confirmation number that is your actual order number!

What payment methods do you accept?

For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. We also offer Sezzle so that you can buy now and pay later with 0% interest.

How do I use promo codes?

You will have the opportunity to enter your promo code when reviewing your shopping cart.

How do I track my order?

All purchasers, whether a guest or logged in to HABA USA account, will receive an email automatically with the tracking information. Some email carriers will direct these emails to your spam folder. To prevent this from happening, please add customerservice@habausa.com to your address book.

For those with a HABA USA account, you can simply log in and review all of your order information, including tracking.

How can I change my order after it has been placed?

If you want to make changes to your order, please call and we can help you update your order. This must be done within 24 hours or the order may have already shipped.

May I cancel my order?

If you would like to cancel your order, please call us within 12 hours of placing your order. If your order has not been shipped, we will cancel your order and refund your method of payment.

If your order has been shipped, you have the option to refuse the package and it will be returned to HABA. Once we receive your returned package, we will refund your method of payment. If you are not able to refuse the package but want to cancel the order, you are responsible for any return costs.

What shipping options do you offer?

HABA USA offers free standard shipping on all orders over $29.99 in the contiguous USA! Orders under that amount will be charged a flat rate of $5.95 for standard shipping, and orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be charged a flat rate of $24.95 for standard shipping.

Shipping times vary depending on the destination. We ship out of Skaneateles, New York (in Upstate New York). When you enter your shipping information at checkout, you will have the option to choose expedited shipping at an additional charge, which will be calculated based on the weight of your item(s) and your zip code.

At this time, HABA USA does not ship to Canada or Mexico. We do have retailers in Canada that carry HABA and our family of brands. Please visit our store locator to find a store near you or a Canadian retailer that will ship to a Canadian address.

How quickly do you ship orders?

We understand that you want your orders to arrive at your doorstep quickly, so we do our best to ship within 24 hours of receiving your order. If you request expedited shipping and your order is received into our system before 12 noon EST, your order will ship that same day.

Do you ship to APO addresses?

We admire and respect our military servicemen and servicewomen, so of course, we will ship to APO addresses. Please be aware that we cannot offer tracking on orders to APO addresses.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we do not ship outside of the United States. HABA and its family of brands are available worldwide through exclusive distributors in each country. We retain rights to ship to USA addresses only. Check out this page for more information about our international distributors.

What is your holiday shipping schedule?

If you need your order in time for Christmas, please consider its destination before placing your order. We ship out of NY, so orders going to California can take up to a week to reach the recipient. Refer to our shipping policy page for more information.

What is your return policy?

HABA USA is happy to accept returns, but items must be in new, unused condition and in the original packaging with all tags attached. We will gladly credit your original credit card or PayPal account for items returned in new, unused condition. Any item returned that is not in unused condition will be subject to a restocking fee. Did HABA USA make a mistake?

If you receive an incorrect shipment, a shipment that is not yours, or a shipment that is damaged or incomplete, please contact us so that we can resolve the issue.

Can I refuse a shipment?

If you refuse a shipment from the shipping carrier, you will be responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the package.
