"The Slow Toy Movement was set up in 2011 by Thierry Bourret, who was fed up with the disappearance of traditional, well-crafted wooden toys in the face of an avalanche of plastic. The aim of the awards shortlist, unveiled at Harrods in London this morning, is to celebrate toys that will live on long after childhood is over – to be put in the attic and brought out again for another generation. Winners this year include a classic tiny trike for toddlers, a wooden train set and a traditional but robust doll's pram" <-- that's ours!
