August 1 - Volunteer
Get in your community today and see how you can get involved to help! Whether helping to clean the park, volunteer at a soup kitchen or more, being a part of your community helps kids feel grounded and connected to the world around them.
August 2 - Kids Help Make Dinner
Let the kids in the kitchen! See what they can help make for dinner.
August 3 - Build a Marble Run
Whether a Kullerbu, Hubelino or wooden marble run, see how much fun you can have building and racing today!
August 4 - Host a Family Puzzle Night
Bond over brain teasers! Puzzles are perfect for quiet evenings filled with shared laughter and a sense of accomplishment. Choose a parrot or elephant puzzle from our new wooden puzzle collection. These puzzles promote problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and number learning while being just the right challenge for all.
August 5 - Make a Memory Book
Creating a scrapbook or memory journal together is a meaningful way to preserve family stories. Let kids decorate the pages while grandparents share their favorite memories or life lessons. You can even add in the stories that you created together while playing or the amazing art projects that you created.
August 6 - Get Outside!
When the weather is right, outdoor toys can offer hours of active play. From digging in the sandbox to setting up a backyard obstacle course, nature becomes the playroom.
August 7 - Go Birdwatching
Help your child make an easy bird feeder using a pinecone, some nut butter, and birdseed, or try halved oranges filled with dried seeds and fruit. Hang the feeders near a window or tree where your child can watch the birds come and go. Keep a notebook nearby to draw pictures of the birds or write down their colors and markings.
August 8 - Go Swimming

August 11 - Make a Little Friends Cardboard Boat
Today, sail the seven seas with your HABA Little Friends and this DIY cardboard pirate ship! Our friend, @studiorosie, made this sweet craft that will have your little one taking on the waves and riding the tide of fun all day!

August 12 - Draw with Sidewalk Chalk
Create colorful drawings outside on the driveway or sidewalk. Try making patterns, games, or a giant mural.
August 13 - Screen-Free Day
With summer comes more free time for the kids and more opportunities for screen time. And hey, we get it. We're parents too! There will be days when the kids have exhausted all other activity possibilities (or so they’ve told you over and over with the classic “I’m bored!”) and you’re exhausted too.
Here’s a list of fun things kids can do this summer that don’t involve any sort of gadget!

Completing chores not only helps your child individually, it also is extremely beneficial for the whole family. Working together towards a common goal helps to tighten family bonds and reduce overall family stress. When children help with household tasks, chores get done sooner and there is more time for fun!
